This tour gives you an overview of the history of Portugal in relation to its capital city. Take this journey with us through Lisbon’s background from a local perspective as we examine the historical events that shaped our present day city. The free walking tours are led by a variety of guides each of whom share their own personal insights to the capital. We cover the entire historical center, the areas of Bairro Alto, Chiado, Baixa, Alfama and Graça.
We will pass on tales told by generations of Portuguese people. We won’t tell you the official stories, but the stories that we listened to at home with our friends, familes and neighbors thus including you in our rich culture. With your help, we will create a cozy and familiar atmosphere during the tour. It will be as if you were walking with a group of local friends.
